Established in Sydney in 2025, the L’EMPREINTE Foundation is a not-for-profit created to honour what is irreplaceable.
We offer families navigating serious illness, terminal illness & end-of-life care the gift of memory: free photography sessions with professional photographers. These sessions are not about staging or performance, but about presence and preserving the intimacy, connection and love that remain when time feels fragile.
For us, a photograph is more than an image. It is a way of holding onto love when words are not enough. It is a keepsake passed between generations, a vessel that carries laughter, connection, and belonging forward into the future.
The Foundation exists to ensure that no family has to go without this gift.
We work hand in hand with a growing community of photographers who generously share their time and talent. Every session is offered freely and arranged around the needs of each family, so that in the midst of uncertainty there is space to simply be together.
The Foundation is sustained by compassion: from photographers who give, from donors who support, and from the families who entrust us with their most intimate moments. Together, we believe in the quiet power of an image to outlast hardship, to carry legacy, and to remind us that love leaves an imprint.
